We are currently seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver to drive a chain-lift (skip) vehicle based at our Manchester site. The role involves the exchange of full and empty containers at our customer's sites across mainland UK.
Monday to Friday daytime driving. Majority of work is located around Manchester and the Preston area, would occasionally require a night out depending on area of work required. Starts before 07.00 hrs and finishes after 18.00 hrs are rare. No requirement to work on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays as the business is usually closed on these days.
Role would suit a driver who is seeking a decent work-life to home-life balance.
£14.00 per hour (guaranteed to be paid 45 hours per week)
Night out allowance paid at £26.20 per night (TAX FREE)
Additional£100 bonus paid monthly for full attendance.
Overtime regularly available. Realistic earning potential including overtime, allowances and bonuses is £38K - £39K
Recurrent CPC training arranged by and paid for by the employer. Training undertaken during normal working hours.
22 flexible paid holidays (pro-rata) - paid for all bank holidays.
The business closes between Christmas and the New Year, those with 6 months service will be paid during this shutdown with no requirement to save holidays to cover.
Digital Tacho Card Required.
Must hold a driver CPC Card.

The successful candidate would ideally have experience in a manufacturing / production / recycling environment .Ideally, you will also hold a current counter-balance FLT licence, although this is not essential.

The rate of pay for this position £11.50 per hour for all staff. You must be over 18 to apply.
The site operates two shift patterns:
Pattern 1: (alternates weekly)
Week #1:
06.00 - 14.00: Monday to Thursday.
06.00 - 13.00: on Friday.
Week #2:
14.00 - 22.00: Monday to Thursday.
13.00 - 20.00: on Friday.
Pattern 2:
08.00 - 16.30: Monday to Thursday.
08.00 - 15.30: on Friday.
**You must be available to work either shift pattern.**
(Pattern 1 also attracts a shift bonus of £50.00 per completed week).
Monthly bonus of £100.00 for full attendance.
It is also possible to attain further skills-based bonus payments upon the completion of training to operate certain specific equipment. Voluntary overtime is also regularly available.
